Tarangire National Park - Accommodation

Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Tarangire is among the series of the northern circuit national parks of Tanzania. Tarangire is away about 120 Kilometers from Arusha town and the Tarangire Sopa Lodge is away 32 Kilometers from Tarangire National Park main entrance and its within the park.

The Sopa lodge in Tarangire National Park is the series also of the other Sopa lodges in the northern Tanzania touring circuit. The lodge has 75 guest rooms all with mini bars, bathrooms en-suite (Shower), safe deposit boxes, coffee and tea maker, and hair driers. With the rooms are single, double and triple accommodations. The view of the lodge is very nice as it has a finishing of an African style house in a format of cottages.

The restaurant is large enough to accommodate 150 people and has beautiful furniture within. Meals are served in African and European cuisine with fresh fruits and vegetables available for the particular season. Our waiter/waitress will serve you at the bar for the liquors of your wish. Both the local and international drinks are available in plenty for you to quench your thirst.

Other facilities and activities during your stay in Tarangire Sopa is a well designed swimming pool, internet café facilities and curio/gift shop. Upon your visit to Tarangire National Park you will have a chance of game drive to explore the vast landscape dominated by baobab trees as well as elephants. Other mammals such as African caped buffalo, rare cheetah, Oryx, giraffe, lion, leopard and tree climbing pythons inhabit Tarangire. However the big sanctuary of wildlife and birdlife is spotted at the Tarangire River as they drink water to this permanent water source of the park.

Walking Safari can be arranged along the Tarangire boarders and should be accompanied by an armed ranger and Maasai tour guide to explain about the area and environ.

Roika Tented Camp

Roika tented camp is situated in the west of Arusha town about 125 Kilometers outside the Tarangire National Park. It takes 5 Kilometers drive from the main entrance to the park.

This is a permanent campsite and it has been built using local materials and thatched by the coconut tree leaves famous as Makuti. All the 21 tents are having bathrooms and en-suite (bathtub), coffee/tea maker. The accommodation is on the style of single, double and triple.

The restaurant can carter for 45 diners at once. The a la carte restaurant boasts of some wonderful local and international dishes. All the meals are accompanied with green vegetables as well as seasonal fruits. Set back and relax while sipping a bottle of a drink you like most to our varieties of drinks that we have in our bar. Varieties of local and international liquor are available.

Tarangire Treetops

The Tarangire Treetops lodge is located in Tarangire about 120 Kilometers drive southwest of Arusha town. From the main entrance it takes 21 Kilometers and you drive to the boundary gate in a private area outside the Tarangire.

All the 20 trees houses that Treetops has are well balance in or under the baobab and Marula trees. Within the rooms are beautiful beds with unique safari touch well furnished with traditional thatched roofs. All rooms are having bathrooms, en-suite shower, coffee/tea maker, hair driers as well as safe deposit boxes.

The beautiful looking restaurant located in the main building offers varieties of palatable local and international dishes for satisfaction of your appetite. The restaurant can accommodate 40 people at once. A well established bar has full range of different drinks from local to international that can simply quench your thirsty.
