WILDIFE SAFARIS: Tanzania safaris are divided into three circuits.

Northern Tanzania comprises of the Serengeti national park Ngorongoro conservation Area, Manyara national park Tarangire National park, Lake Arusha national park and Mt. Kilimanjaro, Selous game Reserve, Ruaha National park and Mikumi National park make up the southern circuit, while Gombe National park and Mahale mountains National park make up the western circuit.

SAFARI TIPS: Dress in natural colours like browns beiges and khaki shorts or trousers and short-sleeved shirts/blouses or T-shirts in cotton, are generally preferable.

Light woollens may be required in the evenings or early morning especially in the northern circuit.

Comfortable walking shoes are ideal in the bush especially for walking safaris.

Sunglasses, hat, sun lotion freshen-up towels and mosquito replant cream a must.

Carry a camera plenty of film replacement batteries and binoculars.

Baggage's should be kept to a minimum soft bags are best 15kgs maximum.

Make sure to drink mineral water.

Make sure to take all vaccination required to enter Tanzania before arrival kindly check with Tanzanian Embassy in your country for more details.

Do not take any human photograph or army area photographs as it is against the government rules.

Credit cards are accepted in major areas with service charges applicable it is better to carry enough cash to avoid inconvenience.

ATTRACTIONS

THE NORTHERN CIRCUIT

ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Area: 137 sq. km.

The Momella Lake Mt Meru and the Ngurdoto Crater are the three striking features of this park. This park is famous for colobus monkey and green forest.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Area: 14,763 sq. km.

One of the vast wildlife concentrated area in the world with unique eco system. The main attraction includes the savannah grass land,rivers,kopjes, big five and wildlife migration. You can also view this attraction early morning with balloon safari over the plains.

NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA.

Area: 8,292 sq. km which includes the crater area of 260 sq. km. The Ngorongoro Conservation area is the only area in the world which wildlife are sharing the land with human the famous tribe Maasai. The attraction includes concentration of more than 25,000 animals including big five. This area also includes Olduvai gorge famous for its archaeological finds of first remain of human fossils.

MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Area: 330 sq. km.

This is the site which is between the Great rift valley and the Lake Manyara. This is the Park with green forest and various species of birds also it has tree climbing lions which is one of the main attraction.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Area: 2,600 sq. km.

This park is surrounded with baobab and acacia trees and looks most species come to the dry season when many migratory species come to the Tarangire River that flow across the length of the park. The park is also famous for the big herds of elephants.

KILIMANJARO NATIONAL PARK

The roof of Africa standing at 19,344 fts it is Dormant volcano. The summit can be climbed from different routes that is Marangu route based on hut accommodation while other routes are camping routes which are Lemosho route, Rongai route, Machame route and Umbwe route.

The climbing days differ from one route to another.

THE SOUTHERN CIRCUIT

SELOUS GAME RESERVE

Area: 55,000 sq. km

This remote and wildly beautiful park is one of the most scenic area. Most of the tourist do prefer to take boat safari at Rufiji river which is full of hippo and crocodiles and walking safari with guide.

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Area: 12,950 sq. km

Ruaha National park, the second largest park in Tanzania offers the thrill of unravelling the secrets of the wildness. River Ruaha gives the park a different shape with scenic flow with full of wildlife.

MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Area: 3,230 sq. km

This park is scenic with its open grasslands and bordering mountain ranges, is one of the most visited parks of all parks in Tanzania.

The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the park.

Other Parks Includes

Gombe Stream National Park, Mahale Mountain National Park, Katavi National park, Rubondo Island National Park, Udzungwa National Park, Saadani Game reserve.
