Jongomero Camp

Jongomero camp is among the less western accommodation in Ruaha National Park. Derive its name from seasonal river Jongomero the camp has its own airstrip apart from the main Ruaha airstrip. Although the property can be accessed by road it is easier to fly from either Dar Es Salaam or Zanzibar. The uniqueness of Jongomero is its corridor of Sand River provided that it is located some 70 Kilometers from Msembe headquarters.

The camp consists of 8 large luxurious tents on raised wooden platforms offering single, double and twin accommodation. The amenities within the Jongomero tents rooms include bathroom, hot shower round clock, large shower area and private verandah.

At the public site the Jongomero Camp has a restaurant which offers varieties of cuisines both local dishes and international once. The bar offers varieties of drinks range from local to international soft and hard liquors which will satisfy your thirsty. All the two facilities are located in the shade of an ancient Riverside tree viewing the Jongomero River.

While at Jongomero camp these will be the activities to do: A walking safari around the River Jongomero and away with an armed ranger, a full day game drive with picnic lunch.

Ruaha River Lodge

Ruaha River Lodge is located along the Great Ruaha River bank been built by stone and thatch with traditional material. Ruaha National Park apart from its remotes offers an amazing population of elephants more than any park in Tanzania.

Ruaha River lodge has divided its accommodation in three different parts each portion comprises between 7 to 9 bandas most of them with private bathroom and verandah. Within the rooms are mosquito nets and queen size beds.

You will definitely love the dinning place of the Ruaha River lodge as it is an open air site, well built by stone at the base and thatched by local material leaving the middle part opened. At the restaurant delicious food is offered from fresh food, vegetables and fruits from the highlands. Different dishes are prepared from local to international cuisine.

The lodge has a bar and you can have varieties of drinks from local to international soft and hard liquors. You can have your drink at the elevated site with spectacular view of the Ruaha or at the campfire.

Tandala Tented Camp

Tandala tented camp is a permanent accommodation in Ruaha National Park. The camp is situated in a well landscape comprises of baobab trees, acacia woodland and other varieties of the vegetation. The vegetation and water holes that Tandala accommodates, attracts large number of wild mammals at closer range. Be assured to see elephants coming around the tents and other mammals. Regularly when you want to go out in the morning and late evening you will be escorted by armed ranger to your tent.

Tandala has 10 spacious, elevated, luxury tents offering a variety of twin or double bed arrangements. On request an extra beds are available for children or to accommodate a third person. The tents are at least eight meters away from each other for total excellent privacy. Each tent at the font has a private verandah leaving the backend for en-suite bathroom with cold and hot shower.

Tandala tented camp at its main building has a restaurant which offers varieties of local and international cuisine. All the meals are well prepared from the continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. A bar with a well designed with local materials and furniture offers varieties of drinks been locally and internationally made. Soft and hard liquors are available for your choice.
