Fundu Lagoon

Fundu Lagoon is located in Pemba along the coastline of the Wambaa Peninsular in a corridor of 5 Kilometers of white sand and lure waters of the Pemba Island. Fundu is one of the paradise places in East Africa offering the authentic luxury that the world has to offer.

Furnished using local material Fundu has 16 rooms of which 12 among them are standard, 2 suites and 2 superior suites all with private balcony and en-suite bathroom. Both the suites and superior are having a private plunge pools and beautiful chill out areas. Staying in this lodge is a marvelous phenomenon as accommodation varies from direct view of the beach or high on the ridge of the peninsula all overlooking the Indian Ocean bay.

The restaurant at Fundu offers African, Asian and European cuisine. The primarily dishes however are the fresh seafood and sweet fishes from the Indian Ocean. Pemba been one of the popular areas in the World producing varies of spices you will enjoy varieties of Zanzibar dishes with spices, rice with spice, tea with spice, seafood with spice, fish with spice what a lovely visit. We have three bars one on the pool side all offering international and local spirit, beer, wine and other soft drinks.

Other facilities offered into the Fundu Lagoon among a few to mention includes Spa, diving with full equipped facilities, Kayaking, water-skiing, fishing games, sailing and snorkeling. Walking to the spices farms and meeting the local people of Pemba is a common cultural tour while in Fundu.

North of the Ngezi forest along the Ras Kigomasha peninsula lies the Manta Resort. This lodge is accessible by air, road and sea in different directions i.e. Tanga - Tanzania Mainland, Mombasa - Kenya and within Pemba by road.
