Who We Are:
Mkombozi School for the orphans was established in 2003 with a mission to provide destitute children a future. The government of Tanzania does not have a welfare system to cater even the minimal needs of the children in crisis. Therefore, much of the responsibility has been initiated by Nicholas & Angel Minja and other volunteers to provide a range of services and assistance. We strive to foster relations with the government agencies, charity organizations, donors, and individual volunteers in order to make the objectives of the foundation a reality.
We offer comprehensive support on education, healthcare, security, love and affection to the orphaned, abandoned, underprivileged, and needy children at our school with caring and qualified staff members. We offer a broad, well-balanced education with emphasis not only on the academic, but also on the spiritual, social, aesthetic and physical development of each child.
We value and promote a lifelong sense of learning and respect for community, encompassing the pupils, staff, and other stakeholders of the school. The special sense of belonging is derived from being recognised and valued as an individual. The relationship that develops between children and their teachers is characterised by mutual respect and warmth.
We encourage pupils to achieve their best in a team culture that promotes participation. Opportunities are provided for the children to enjoy success, inside and outside traditional classroom environments. Students learn that by working together, developing interdependence as well as independence. We always celebrate their efforts, their independence, their passions and their achievements.
Our Foundation also does community outreach to help the old people that can't help themselves in the near and far villages around our communities. |
