MOUNT KILIMANJARO - MACHAME ROUTE/ NGORONGORO/MANYARA/TARANGIRE/ ARUSHA PARK - 11 DAYS

Day 1: In the morning after breakfast at the hotel/lodge in Arusha you will receive briefing about the climbing Kilimanjaro Machame route. A four wheel vehicle will transfer you to Machame gate with lunch boxes. After all the formality of registration at the main office you will start walking through the rain forest up to Machame hut. Picnic lunch will be taken to the appropriate point and thereafter proceed to Machame Camp (3000m) (4-5 hrs) walk for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: After breakfast hike on the rock ridges to Shira Hut (3800m) (5-7hrs). Have picnic lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Shira Hut campsite.

Day 3: After breakfast, start walking to Barranco Hut to Karanga Valley (4000m) (6-7 hrs) picnic lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Karanga campsite.

Day 4: Have a full day staying at Karanga Valley for Acclimatization. It is highly recommended to the first Alpiners over this route.

Day 5: After full relaxation at Karanga Valley early morning after breakfast ascend to Barafu Hut (4800m) (5-6 hrs). Picnic lunch on the way and thereafter upon reaching to Barafu hut dinner and have a nap before waken up for last ascent to the Uhuru Peak.

Day 6: Early in the mid-night after having a light breakfast start hike to the STELLAR point (5865m) then further to the Uhuru Peak (5895m) the Summit of Africa. After that descend slowly to Mweka Campsite for dinner and overnight. Again this is the hardest day in Kilimanjaro climbing as the walking takes much time.

Day 7: After breakfast start walk down to the Mweka Gate. For climbers who managed to make to the Stellar Point and Uhuru Peak will be awarded by certificates with different notation. At Mweka gate you will meet our representatives and hot lunch will be served for you at the gate. Celebration and dances are followed by lunch and thereafter drive back to Arusha for relaxation at the hotel/lodge swimming, hot shower and then dinner and overnight at the designated accommodation.

Day 8: In the morning after breakfast you will meet our safari tour drive guide for briefing. You will be driving to Ngorongoro crater west of Arusha. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro crater gate you will pay the crater fee and thereafter descend for a game drive at the crater floor. Probably the breathtaking scenario ever seen in the World, your picnic lunch will be taken at the picnic lunch point. Late afternoon you will ascend from the crater and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight at the designed hotel or lodge.

Day 9: An early morning game drive at Lake Manyara National Park and thereafter return back for breakfast at the lodge. The game drive will follow until mid day thereafter back to the lodge/hotel for hot lunch. We will pack our stuff drive to a popular village of Mto Wa Mbu just outside the Manyara National Park have same cultural tour en-route to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight at the designated lodge.

Day 10: An early morning game drive at Tarangire National Park and thereafter a full breakfast at the lodge. We will have our picnic lunch with us and the game drive will continue to the afternoon. In the late afternoon we will drive back to Arusha town and upon arrival we will have our hot dinner at the designated hotel/lodge and an overnight.

Day 11: In the morning after breakfast you will drive to Arusha National Park for varieties of activities. A game drive to the national park, popular walking safari within the park escorted by an armed ranger (Arusha National Park is among the few parks in Tanzania offering ability to have walks in the wildlife areas), camel safari, bird watching at the Momella lakes, hiking a bit to Mount Meru located inside the Arusha National Park and visiting the Maasai boma around the parks. Picnic lunch at the waterfalls along the Momella lakes. During the evening you will be transferred to connect with your flight back home at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
