Katuma Bush Lodge Situated in the central part of the Katavi National Park Katuma bush lodge overlooking the vast plains of Katisunga. Katavi National Park is accessible easily by plane or from Kigoma and Mwanza. Katuma consists of 10 spacious tents, all the tents are made from heavy-duty canvas material with ample space to relax and walk around. Each tent contains single or double wooden beds fitted with firm mattresses and mosquito nets. Each tent has an en-suite with hot water for showers, basin and English toilet and a verandah for total rest after a long day of game drive. Around Katuma the tamarind and acacia trees are dominant providing perfect breezing. The main building consists of a bar and restaurant offering continental and English breakfast, lunch and dinner on while staying at Katuma with a mix of desert. Seat back and relax at your leisure and have a drink of your choice in a bar. Katuma bar offers different kinds of drinks both local and international liquors. Katavi National Park is famous for its large numbers of different species of wild mammals as well as birdlife. Not only that Katavi due to its remoteness has yet remain rarely visited virgin land and for those who are keen on visiting the authentic Tanzania and Africa at large should think of visiting the Western and Southern circuit of Tanzania touring centers which includes Katavi National Park.
Chada Katavi Chada Katavi is situated in the core of Katavi National Park, in an area fill with the floor of the Rukwa Valley. Chada in Katavi is said to be one of the Africa's best wildlife experiences. The sunset is always stunning with varieties of the vegetation of different trees tamarind, fig and albida forests. The camp has 6 large canvas walk-in safari tents with 2 twin beds or a double bed, private bathroom, (hot and cold water on demand) with large scrolling windows for proper vent. Set under the shade of the tamarind and acacia trees each tent receives superb air condition. Chada has a capacity of accommodating only 12 people. Chada has a well defined restaurant which offers continental and English breakfast, lunch and dinner at the dinning centre. Soft and hard liquors are available with the range of different wines. Also there is local and international combination of these drinks. The main activities while staying at Chada Katavi is the game drive to the Katavi National Park with an open 4WD vehicle which is a bit different from the cars which are used in the Northern circuit of Tanzania, walking safari, fly camping and bird watching. |
