Gombe Forest Lodge

Gombe forest lodge is the only accommodation available inside the Gombe stream national park. The accommodation within the Gombe have been limited in order to maximize conservation and lower disturbance of the endangered Chimpanzees found else where in Tanzania parks with exceptional of Mahale and Katavi.

Gombe Forest Lodge consists of 6 luxury double tents with en-suite facilities offering hot and cold water.  Sitting in the Uvivu chairs outside your tent you can view the deep blue waters of Lake Tanganyika with the orange-red sunsets outlining the Congo Mountains. Lake Tanganyika is one of the deepest lakes in the world and accommodates large number of cold water fish species.

The miombo woods have been used to fence and decorate the restaurant and living room at the lodge. Spending days and nights at the Gombe forest lodge involves having palatable and delicious dishes from the restaurant and a bar at the lodge offers soft and hard liquors around the campfire site. You can have your dinner while the stars are shinning on you.

The main activity of visiting Gombe Stream National Park is tracking Chimpanzee and other primates such as velvet monkeys, blue monkeys as well as different kinds of birds and butterflies.

Kigoma Hilltop Hotel

Kigoma hilltop hotel is the famous hotel in western circuit in Tanzania set onto the hill, having natural landscape and gardens, overlooking the calm blue waters of Lake Tanganyika and the majestic mountains of Congo from the rear. It is an ideal starting point for tours to Gombe Stream and Mahale Mountains National Parks.    

The hotel has 30 cottage types of accommodation and within each room en-suite bathroom is available. Single, double or triple accommodation is possible while at the hotel.

The Kigoma hilltop hotel offers varieties of dishes from African to European cuisines without forgetting that hilltop is on the lakeshore and we offer cold water fresh fish in each meal everyday. The fish is prepared in a well manner with spices and other ingredients. The bar is available with range of local and international drinks including bottled water, beers, hard liquors and wines.
